The trailer of the most awaited films of the year is out. Yes, the trailer of Thugs of Hindostan has been released. But you cannot help notice the similarities between Thugs of Hindostan and the famous Disney franchise Pirates Of The Caribbean. Even the social media was quick to point out the similarities in the mannerism and appearances of Aamir Khan’s character Firangi Mallah and Johnny Depp’s character Jack Sparrow. A dialogue said by Aamir’s character Firangi Mallahom ‘Dhokaa swabhaav hai mera’ has now become a new meme on the Internet.

So Let’s Take A Look At 6 Reasons Why Aamir Khan’s Firangi Mallah Is A Copy Of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow!

1. Whether it’s the outfit or the makeup, the very nuances of Aamir’s Firangi Mallah seem to have taken inspiration from Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow.


2. Just like Jack Sparrow, Firangi is a rule-breaking, hilarious, and very chaotic person. You never know whose side he’s playing his dice.

3. While Johnny Depp had dreadlocks and a bandana, a strange cap for the character, Aamir can be seen wearing a fedora hat and has unruly hair in the film.




4. Take a look at their make-up, both of the characters have a mustache, a beard, and heavily kohled eyes.

5. Like Jack Sparrow, Aamir’s character Firangi Mallah has an obsession with alcohol, we can see a bottle hanging from his belt. 


6. There is a scene in the trailer where Aamir Khan can be seen wearing a wig, dressed up as an Englishman which again is very similar to Jack Sparrow impersonating a judge in the film.


Although the similarities between the films Thugs of Hindostan and the Pirates of the Caribbean series are just too obvious, you just cannot avoid it. But it is yet to be seen how much Firangi Mallah’s character is inspired from Jack Sparrow and how much this Vijay Krishna Acharya-directed film has copied from Pirates of The Caribbean.
