Centre Sets Fresh Guidelines For International Flight Passengers

This guideline has some updates from the last, which was set on May 24. The new regulations, which start from 8 August, include that all passengers must send a self-declaration form on the New Delhi Airport Authorities website before 72 hours of takeoff. An official 7-day quarantine at their own expense and 7-day isolation at home after travel is mandatory.

Only if they are able to have a negative RT-PCR test report will they live 14 days at home quarantine too.

However, this time around, the center has instructed the states to determine if the procedure needs to be changed based on the circumstances of the air passengers arriving in their states. They can include and exclude rules when needed.

Mass-fever screening system was mounted at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The airport authorities say, "The new thermal scanner will check, identify and monitor febrile people with high skin temperatures. The system automatically changes and adapts without any human input to the local ambient temperature.'

This system can be helpful in quickly identifying passengers with fever if it is mounted in other airports too. The pandemic continues to be at its worst in the world. Citizens in the country are advised to remain at home, wear masks, sanitize themselves and keep physical distance. Transport limitations also apply.
