The Indian Railways started running special trains to take refugees, visitors, students and all those who were stranded during the lockdown.
HYDERABAD: On Saturday about 300 migrant workers staying at Hakimpet started moving in large numbers trying to enter the railway station as they thought train services were resuming. Later, the police stopped them, and sent them out.
Speaking to ANI, Humayun Nagar Police Station's Additional Inspector, K. Narayan Reddy, said, "They were trying to get to the railway station as they felt the train services had resumed.
He told ANI that 300 migrants from Bihar, Jharkhand staying at Hakeempet limits had begun moving towards Tolichowki at around 10:00 p.m. with the intention of entering their native states, expecting the train services to be resumed.
"The concerned police squad approached the spot after collecting information and sending them back to their homes here. We'll be speaking to their representatives tomorrow morning," Reddy said.
"As per the instructions of the state government, construction work has begun in the state and few citizens have no knowledge of it, so they intend to return," he added.
