A boy of 15 from Bhiwandi, in Maharashtra district of Thane, allegedly killed his elder brother. The boy fled into rage when the victim, Mohammad Shaikh (19), asked him this morning to stop playing PUBG on his mobile phone, senior police inspector Mamata D'Souza said. This is yet another case highlighting the addictional negative effects of PUBG.
PUBG and PUBG Mobile were the focus of controversy not only in India but also globally. It has been depicted in poor light by various incidents with the play. In India parents and others have even requested a ban on the game. The battle-royale game has been banned at a few places, despite its growing popularity.
Parents and teachers are also demanding a ban on PUBG citing its many adverse effects on children. Studies, however, have found that video games don t really have any impact on people's attitudes towards violence to relieve the parents' concern. Numerous studies have come to this conclusion, and the most recent one has taken place at the University of Oxford.
