Deepika Padukone is currently one of the highest-paid actresses in the Bollywood industry. It is said that in the movie Padmaavat, she became one of the first female actors that got more than male actors in the movie. As per various reports, it is said that Deepika was paid Rs. 13 crores for her role as Rani Padmaavati. On the other hand, her co-stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor got Rs. 10 crores each. The movie garnered around Rs. 600 crore worldwide at the box office. It was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Earlier also Deepika was paid more than her co-star Amitabh Bachchan for their movie Piku. It was revealed by Big B in an interview but the facts are still unknown.
As per the list of highest-earning celebrities in Forbes, Deepika is in the list for the past few years now. In the year Padmaavat was released, she became the only woman in the top 10 of Forbes’ annual list of the top 100 Indian celebrities list. She had earned Rs. 112 crores in 2018, according to the list.
On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Chappak. She will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s 83. This is for the first time when Deepika and Ranveer will be working together after their wedding. She will be playing the role of Ranveer Singh aka Kapil Dev’s wife in the movie. It is said that Deepika has charged nearly Rs. 15 crores for her cameo appearance. Star cast of movie ’83 is Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarma, Harrdy Sandhu, among others in pivotal roles. The movie is co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Deepika Padukone.
