Aaliya Siddiqui has revealed in her recent interview with Pinkvilla how Nawaz and she got married. She said to the web, "We began to stay in together. I used to live with his brother Shamas. He and I had been collaborating on a project where he collaborated. Slowly, though, we fell in love and became close to each other. Our journey started back then and it eventually culminated in marriage. There were problems right from the start. I figured it would end but 15-16 years have gone by and mental abuse hasn't ended.

Aaliya further spoke at the time of her delivery about Nawaz having an extramarital affair. She said, "I remember it very clearly that he was already in a relationship with someone else, even though we were dating and were about to get married. During and after marriage we used to clash a lot too. Once I was pregnant I had to drive for check-ups all by myself.
