As several other love stories Mainini and Mihir met at a party of mutual friends. Saranjit Bedi, who was a renowned and well-known television star, was friends with both. Speaking of it, Mihir said how they worked on the same set but had never talked. It is because of Sanjit Bedi (who died in 2015) and his group that they suddenly met and fell in love.
