The fourth lockdown phase that started Monday saw many states relaxing restrictions to open up key economic activities in all areas except containment zones. Many states allowed operation to resume in all areas apart from containment zones or high-risk areas. The lockdown has substantially eased Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan , Gujarat, Kerala, Telangana and West Bengal. The development comes as the cumulative number of positive Covid-19 cases in India has now exceeded 1,00,000, with more than 3,000 deaths. Meanwhile, the global number of coronavirus infections with more than three lakh deaths is just shy of 50 lakh.

674 New Brazilian Coronavirus Deaths
