Kim Jong Un praises China for Coronavirus Regulation
North Korea says leader Kim Jong Un sent a personal message to Chinese President Xi Jinping praising what he described as the success of China's management of its coronavirus epidemic. China is the most powerful partner and economic lifeline of North Korea, accounting for around 90 per cent of the country's foreign trade. With China's COVID-19 easing of the caseload, some analysts claim the North may reach out to China to reinvigorate cross-border trade that has been drastically reduced in recent months.
