Our body is categorized into three types:
- Ectomorph:
Identification
People with this type of body do not gain weight even if they eat more. These people have a small bone structure with shoulders usually narrower than their hip. They want to gain weight.
Best workout & Diet
Ectomorphs should focus on their strength and hypertrophy. Exercises like squats, lunges, bench press, push-ups, deadlift, and pull-ups can strengthen their muscles and can help in weight gain. Their food must be rich in carbs with moderate protein and low fat.
- Mesomorph:
Identification
This can be said as the perfect body type. The people with this type of body can easily gain weight and lose as well. Their bone structure is medium and they have a good metabolism. They want a lean body.
Best workout & Diet
Mesomorphs should focus on strength, endurance and size. They should have 3 to 4 times resistance training and HIIT. Their food should contain an equal amount of fat, protein and carbs.
- Endomorph:
Identification
People with this type of body usually struggle to lose weight. They have a round body with larger midsection and hips.
Best workout & Diet
Endomorphs should focus on resistance training as well as cardio. Walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, hiking and HITT once a week can boost their metabolism. They should have fewer carbs and more protein & fiber in their meal.
