New Coronavirus updates:
The Quick Test Kits, which checks for the existence of coronavirus inhibitors in the blood, in other nations have not proved very successful. Therefore the Indian Council of Medical Research, the coronavirus testing nodal body, was not keen on it, particularly for spontaneous social testing.Today's congressional Rahul Gandhi requested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi eliminate what he considered the country's "bottleneck" of coronavirus testing – a response to the sudden stoppage of the Rapid Tests. After reports from Congress-ruled Rajasthan that the kits were defective, the Indian Council of Medical Research, the nodal body for coronavirus testing, had called off the experiments.
Rahul Gandhi Tweets:
Experts agree that mass random testing is the key to beating Corona. In India, a bottleneck is stopping us from scaling testing from the current 40,000 per day to 1 lakh tests a day, for which test kits are already in stock.
PM needs to act fast & clear the bottleneck.
At the other hand, the Rapid Test Kits — which measures the existence of antibodies to coronavirus in the blood — have not proven very successful in other nations. So the Indian Council of Medical Research – the coronavirus testing nodal body – was not interested in it, particularly for random mass testing.
Following four days of testing last week, Rajasthan said the Rapid Test kits were providing faulty results. Just 5.4 per cent of the findings, the state said, were right. Two other states-Kerala and Tamil Nadu-gave similar feedback, ICMR sources said.
