Cyclone Amphan Live Updates: Cyclone Amphan is expected to land on Wednesday afternoon, when it weakened into an extremely severe cyclonic storm on Tuesday. Cyclone Amphan, bursting with high-velocity winds, will land near Sundarbans between the Digha of West Bengal and the Hatiya Islands of Bangladesh.
During Cyclone Amphan's landfall the wind speed is expected to be 155-165 kmph rafts to 185 kmph. While cyclone Amphan has weakened into an extremely severe cyclonic storm, dumping heavy rains in several parts of Odisha and West Bengal, it still carried sufficient strength to pulverize the two states' coastal districts. This is the second recorded super cyclone that has formed over Bay of Bengal.
